Thespesia populnea, commonly known as the portia tree Thespesia populnea is native to tropical coastlines and is adapted for oceanic dispersal and growth in island environments. It is a deciduous tree celebrated for its graceful appearance and vibrant blossoms.

Since it is found in coastal areas and lowlands, it likes fertile soil that is rich with nutrients.And  you need to water this plant every other day for best results.
