Bougainvillea

BougainvilIea is a plant is a stunning, is a genus of 18 flowering plants. It is native to south America. Bougainvillea are popular ornamental plants in most areas with warm climates, including Florida, South Carolina, South India, California, across the Mediterranean Basin, as well as the Arabian Peninsula. It is popular in the Mediterranean region specifically in the Middle East .There is  widely used in Egypt specifically  types like Bougainvillea glabra and Bougainvillea shmasi which shaped like un umbrella or a ball

Its bracts come in a range of hues, including pink, purple, red, orange and white.

Bougainvilleas are available in shrub form, semi-dwarf and dwarf cultivars for containers and flower beds, for the best garden border and it is a best entrance shrub.

There are climbing varieties that can cover your ugly walls and entrance beautifully. And, if you’re about thorns, there’re thornless species too.

Bougainvillea is also a very attractive genus for Bonsai enthusiasts, due to their ease of training and their radiant flowering during the spring. They can be kept as indoor houseplants in temperate regions and kept small by bonsai techniques so it is a low maintenance plant that can be indoor and outdoor.
