Olea Europaea (Olive Tree)

Olea Europaea is an evergreen tree native to Mediterranean Europe, Asia, and Africa.

It’s a slow growing tree. It has upright growth habit when young, with age it has a twisted trunk. It grows up to 20-30 feet (6-9 meters).

It produces flowers in late spring to early summer, they are creamy-white and small flowers.

Its fruits are the important thing it produces which named olives ,start green and gradually darken to purple or black when ripe .They are good for eating or producing olive oil which has many uses and has a health benefits .In addition to the uses of the tree in landscape ,ornamental appeal with its silvery-green foliage and elegant form making it ideal for many gardens like costal ,Mediterranean ,gravel gardens ,it is a striking landscape centerpieces.

There is also another type of olive tree which named Lolly pop this type is used in gardens, too because of its attractive shape.

Its fruits Olives have many sizes and shapes. It is the best solution in gardens because the fruit and leaves are non-toxic to kids and pets.

There is no doubt that the olive branch is a symbol of peace in many cultures.
