Hemerocalis or daylily due to each flower’s one-day lifespan. It is a genus of perennial plants .It can reach to 1-4 feet(30-120 cm) hight.
Hemerocallis comes in a variety of colors, including shades of yellow, orange, red.The leave is a lovely asset as it provides texture and color when the flowers are not in bloom , some bloom in early summer, others in late summer .It can provides flowers from June until frost.
Daylilies love full sun, so make sure yours gets a minimum of six hours each day. Despite thriving in all soil, daylilies would rather being planted in one that’s fertile and loamy. Water regularly in the first growing season. Most daylilies do not need fertilizer so add compost each season to provide added nutrients to the plant.
About Pruning, Remove any yellowing leaves throughout the growing season. Doing so will encourage the plant to produce new leaves
