Hibiscus SPP

Hibiscus is very popular a genus of flowering plants. There are hundreds of hibiscus species that can be trees or shrubs and annuals or perennials, most of which are tropical or subtropical.

The are many species native to north America and other type of Hibiscus is native to China that called Hibiscus -rosa- sinensis. It famous for its flower that is large and beautiful and comes in a wide range of colors from white to red, pink, yellow, and orange The flowers of some types of Hibiscus are enormous, measuring up to a foot ( 30cm) in diameter. Hibiscus is popular in the Mediterranean region specifically in the Middle East , because it has many uses in Landscape ,you can use it as a hedge for privacy for example , plant it in groups. It is a flowering shrub hedge that can be cut and shaped and a pot plant.

There is in many places in Egypt in open spaces and private gardens ,landscape designers can’t live without it in their work .

Tropical hibiscus varieties (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) are perfect if you live in a warm climate or want an impressive houseplant.

Hibiscus love bright conditions. Full sun is often best and indoor Hibiscus needs a bright spot near a sunny window.

All hibiscus do best in well-drained, fertile, moist and loamy soil.
